Our outstanding speaker in this morning's meeting was Susan Cantrell of Sterling Sales Strategies, LLC. She told us about the 100-year anniversary celebration of Fairfax, taking place this summer and fall.

FAIRFAX PROUD: Many do not know the historical significance of the Fairfax District in Kansas City, KS, which is believed to be the first planned industrial district in the country, currently housing over 130 businesses, employs over 10,000 people and generates over $5.4 billion in annual sales.

This year marks the 100-year anniversary of the Fairfax Industrial Association. We will be celebrating all year long! In order to commemorate this momentous anniversary, events are taking place at Wyandotte County Museum, The Legends Field with the KC Monarchs, the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum, and culminating in the 7th annual Fairfax Festival at Kaw Point Park.
